Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack Officials Promoted to New Leadership Roles

Delaware North announced new leadership roles appointing Osi Imomoh as regional general manager and Kim Florence as president and general manager of Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack.

Imomoh joined the Wheeling Island team in April 2013 as president and general manager, having served in numerous casino executive leadership roles in Mississippi and Arkansas. He has been promoted to regional general manager overseeing Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack and Gaming Entertainment & Management – Illinois, LLC (GEM), a recent acquisition of Delaware North Gaming & Entertainment division.

Florence joined the Wheeling Island team in June 2003 as marketing coordinator and has held numerous positions within her 13 years in the organization, most recently serving in the position of senior director of marketing. She has played a role in the success of Wheeling Island over the years having been an active member of the effort to pass the Ohio County local referendum for table game legislation in 2006. In her new role, she will be responsible for the daily operations of the casino. She is originally from the Ohio Valley and a graduate of Ohio University in Athens.

Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack offers 24 table games, 9-table poker room, over 1,400 slot machines, 151-room luxury hotel, live Greyhound racing, four restaurants, 1,000-seat showroom, meeting and banquet services and gift shop.

Wheeling Island was recently recognized with 17 “Best of Gaming” Awards by Casino Player Magazine’s October 2015 reader’s poll, winning seven first-place titles including Best Hotel and Favorite Casino Resort to Vacation.
