New office furniture and supplies are on the way for Ohio Valley Medical Center, so Alecto Healthcare and OVMC decided to give some of their "gently used" items to several local agencies.

Organizations that have taken advantage of this offer include the House of the Carpenter, Goodwill, YWCA, Youth Services System, Empowerment Family Worship Center and Bethlehem Apostolic Temple. Some of the items donated so far include desks, chairs, couches, tables, televisions, kitchen equipment, file cabinets, wood shelving and even an organ.

The Rev. Darrell Cummings, senior pastor of Bethlehem Apostolic Temple in Wheeling, was pleased to receive three truckloads of items from the hospital.

Cummings said, "These items will be very helpful to us and our mission at the Dream Center here in Wheeling. The chairs we received will allow us to seat more people for our outreach to the community at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Many of the other items will be used for our teen ministry program. We are very thankful to OVMC and we look forward to a continuing partnership with the new administration and Alecto Healthcare."
