At 2:09 a.m. Saturday, a deputy and K-9 were out at 47th Street in Bellaire assisting other units on a traffic stop. According to the report, a passenger of the vehicle did not want to get out and was escorted out. A snuff can in his hand was found to have approximately 1 gram of cocaine and a razor blade in it. He was taken into custody by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. A deputy advised a total of approximately 2 grams of cocaine and paraphernalia was found on the passenger.

At 12:20 a.m. Saturday, a K-9 was requested for a traffic stop of a vehicle with temporary Pennsylvania tags at Kilgore Road, Pease Township.

At 12:11 a.m. Saturday, a deputy and K-9 were out on a traffic stop at Ohio 7 in West Wheeling. The K-9 gave a positive indication on the vehicle, according to the report, which stated the driver admitted to smoking marijuana in the vehicle in the past week.

At 11:44 p.m. Friday, a deputy was out with units from the Bridgeport Police Department on a traffic stop along South Lincoln Avenue in Bridgeport. A strong odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle, according to the report, which stated one occupant was cited for possession. The driver was given a warning for a headlamp and cracked windshield.

At 10:58 p.m. Friday, several units were out on a traffic stop on Ohio 7 and 48th Street in Bellaire. One female was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. A female advised there was marijuana in the vehicle, according to the report, which stated a total of 9 grams of marijuana was recovered. Jessican Lynn Freeland, 33, was taken to jail and booked on charges of failure to appear, possession of marijuana and trafficking in drugs.

At 7:17 p.m. Friday, a complainant from Cash Ridge Road, Shadyside, reported her ex-husband who has not lived there since May 2016 entered her house and took furniture and other items.

At 1:59 p.m. Friday, a complainant reported someone broke into the neighbor’s residence overnight, stating the neighbor is not home now and the basement door is open again. A deputy responded and advised that everything is fine.

At 5:57 a.m. Friday, a complainant from McClainsville Road, Bellaire, reported illegal dumping on her property. A deputy was dispatched to the location to take information.
