BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
At 5:19 p.m. Tuesday, a subject from Morgan Hill Road, St. Clairsville, came to the office to report her daughter’s cellphone stolen out of her purse in a changing room at Gabriel’s at the Ohio Valley Mall.
At 4:13 p.m. Tuesday, units responded to a domestic complaint at an address on Grade Avenue, Lansing. Cody James McFadden, 21, was booked on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence and held without bail pending an initial court appearance.
At 9:07 a.m. Tuesday, several units were at Rock Hill Road, Flushing, looking for a male subject and following up on a domestic incident that occurred on the previous day. Dakota Dwaine Leasure, 22, was arrested on a felony charge of theft and misdemeanor charges of domestic violence and failure to appear.
At 6:57 a.m. Tuesday, a deputy performed a welfare check on a subject at an address on National Road, Bridgeport, at the request of Wheeling police.
At 2:59 a.m. Tuesday, several units were out at McDowell Road, Barnesville, on a traffic stop with a green Ford Ranger reported stolen in Marietta. The vehicle was towed, and one male and one female were taken into custody. The female was released that evening.
At 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, several units responded to McDowell Road, Barnesville, for a report of a man with a gun. According to the report, a complainant reported he was out setting up fence posts that fell down and the neighbor shot a gun. The complainant stated the shot grazed his arm, but there was no blood. Barnesville police also responded to the scene. Officers spoke with both subjects. A deputy advised the complainant did not have a mark on him. The neighbor stated he shot a pellet gun in the air, and according to the report, the complainant was taken to jail on a charge of disorderly conduct and menacing.
