A single charge has been filed against a man who found himself in an armed standoff with Ohio County deputies Thursday.
Zachary Foster, 26, of Valley Grove faces one count of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
Deputies went to his Submarine Road residence Thursday along U.S. 40 near Valley Grove in response to a reported domestic disturbance.
In the criminal complaint against Foster, police said they spoke to two women, one of whom was identified as an alleged victim in the physical domestic call.
The woman told police that Foster had punched her in the face, and that Foster told her he was going to shoot her and another woman. The alleged victim said Foster pulled a small handgun from his waistband and pointed it at both of them as they left the residence.
Foster has been arrested on several prior occasions, including a felony conviction for burglary, which prohibited him from having a firearm.
Foster is scheduled to appear for his preliminary hearing at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 4 before Ohio County Magistrate Joe Roxby. He remains jailed in lieu of $50,000 bond.
