At 8 p.m., 15th Street, malicious assault. Wheeling Police were dispatched to East Wheeling for a report of a fight with a weapon. When officers arrived, one person was on the street injured and required medical attention. The victim stated that another man beat him with a rock, who then fled the area. Thomas Edward Kerry, 58 of Wheeling, was arrested and charged with one count of malicious assault.

BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

At 11:54 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy went to an address on Breezy Hill Road, Richland Township, with units from the St. Clairsville Police Department for a follow-up on an investigation.

At 11:14 p.m. Tuesday, units responded to an address on Orchard Avenue, Bridgeport, for a domestic complaint.

At 10:44 p.m. Tuesday, officers were out with a suspicious male who reportedly left Sheetz and walked down the hill toward Walmart in St. Clairsville. The male reportedly gave a false name and was found to have an active warrant and to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and about one gram of cocaine, according to the report. Damend Lavel Pollard, 47, was arrested and booked in the Belmont County Jail on a felony charge of drug possession and misdemeanor charges of falsification, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property and two counts of failure to appear.

At 3:44 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to an address on Winding Hill Road, Bellaire, for an animal complaint. A Great Dane reportedly was running loose. The owner was given a warning for dogs-at-large, according to the report.

At 2:08 p.m. Tuesday, a resident of Ebbert South Road, St. Clairsville, reported vandalism to his mailbox.

At 1:16 p.m. Tuesday, officers assisted a motorist at the Exxon station in St. Clairsville after the owner while pumping gas was locked out of the vehicle by his dog.

At 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to Dollar General, National Road, Bridgeport, after a caller reported a male assaulted a female in a vehicle outside the store.

At 5:36 p.m. Tuesday, a complainant from Patterson Hill Road, Bellaire, reported someone put rotting salmon on the door handle of her car.
