Representatives of Bill's Towing work to remove a trailer from a commercial truck from an accident scene on Monday.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. Drew Hertlein, the tractor-trailer was headed east on Interstate 70 at exit 208 at about 5:15 a.m. Monday when it traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking several signs, a light pole and an embankment before overturning.

Hertlein said the female driver was transported to a hospital by medical helicopter, but he could not provide details about where she was taken or an update on her condition.

No additional information about the driver or the trucking company was immediately available, as Hertlein said the patrol was still contacting her family members Monday afternoon.

He said the crash remains under investigation but noted it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
