Hunter’s Death Under Investigation
NEW MARTINSVILLE — Hoy R. Murphy Jr., media representative for the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, confirmed that a Wetzel County man died Monday while deer hunting.
Murphy said Kenneth Franklin Lafferty III, 20, of New Martinsville, died in a “single subject incident while hunting deer with a rifle.”
Murphy said the death happened around noon, and is being investigated by DNR Police officers.No other details are available at this time.
