Body Found in Garage at Benwood Home; No Foul Play Suspected

BENWOOD -- No foul play is suspected after the Benwood Police Department investigated a dead body found in the garage of a Main Street residence.

Benwood Police Chief Frank Longwell said a landlord called the department at 1:15 p.m. Monday, saying they found a dead body in the garage of one of their properties. When police arrived at the home, they found a white male dead in the garage.

Longwell called in the West Virginia State Police Crime Lab to assist with the investigation. The group eventually surmised that no foul play likely was involved.
