JOHN KAMLOWSKY
John H. Kamlowsky, formerly of Wheeling, passed away at his home in Montgomery, TX, on July 8, 2015.
He was born in Kansas City, MO, on August 10, 1925.
Following his graduation from Wheeling Central Catholic High School in 1943, he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He graduated from Xavier University in 1950, and West University Law School in 1955.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John George Kamlowsky and Cecilia Ann Rooney.
He is survived by his four children, Karen Petros and her husband, Jim, John Kamlowsky III and wife, Pam, Michael Kamlowsky and wife, Vickie, Patrick Kamlowsky and wife, Cope, his nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
John began his law career in private practice before serving as assistant prosecuting attorney for Ohio County, assistant U.S. Attorney and U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of West Virginia, and U.S. District Court Bankruptcy Judge, before retiring in 1986 and returning to private practice.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
