DOH employees and contractors who maintain and construct highways understand the work can be dangerous, simply because so many motorists refuse to slow down -- just a bit -- and pay close attention while traveling through work zones. Each year in the United States, many road workers are injured.Some are killed.
Please, give 'em a brake. And, remember that when you are driving through a construction or repair zone, men and women doing the work to make your trip safer, faster and more pleasant may be just inches away from your vehicle. Do your part to ensure that at the end of the day, they go home
