Litter Enough To Cause Tears
Interesting to read Heather Ziegler’s article in last Saturday’s paper. I am one of those people she was talking about. I have spent the last three Sundays cleaning up garbage along my stretch of Cherry Hill Road just off of Warwood Avenue. Among the many items I have found alongside of the road: cans, bottles, stuffed toys, plastic bags, pizza boxes, fast food containers, buckets, flower pots and hundreds of cigarette butts. It’s just disgusting. It reminds me of the old TV commercial I saw when I was a kid back in the 70s. The American Indian looking over his once beautiful land now littered with trash and tears rolling down his face. Come on people, we are better than this.
