Schuetzes Reach 60th

Jack and Sandy Schuetz of Wheeling are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married July 30, 1960 by the Rev. Cann at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Sandy is the daughter of the late George and Mary Jane Young. Jack is the son of the late John and Agnes Schuetz. They are parents of six children: Michael (Shaye) Schuetz, Mark (Annette) Schuetz, Laurie (Ray) Thompson, Lisa (Brian) Sorge, Lynn (Luke) Sisarcick, Jennifer (David) Lloyd. Twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson complete the family. A family celebration will be held Aug. 1.

Diefenbaughs Celebrate 50th

The children of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gregory Diefenbaugh of Bethlehem happily announce their parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. Richard and Judith Diefenbaugh were united in marriage on June 20, 1970, at First Christian Church of Cameron with the Rev. Wesley Morgan officiating. Richard is the son of the late John Diefenbaugh of Muncie, Indiana, and Donald and the late Ruth Campo of Indianapolis, IN. He served as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps. Mike and Mindy Gittings of Moundsville are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on June 20, 1970 at Glen Dale United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Mason officiating. Mindy is the daughter of the late Dave and Jean Springfield. She graduated from Union High School, Class of 1968, and retired from the Registration Department at Reynolds Memorial Hospital. John and Roberta Petrella celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, June 20. They were married June 20, 1970 at St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church in Bridgeport, Ohio. Roberta is the daughter of the late Agnes and Joseph Pasztor, Jr. of Bridgeport. She retired as a high school English teacher. John is the son of the late Ralph and Theresa Petrella of Steubenville. Robert and Helen Wilson of West Alexander, Pennsylvania, celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on June 5 at their home. They were married at Dallas Methodist Church in Dallas, W.Va. Helen is the daughter of the late Melvin and Margaret Johnson Winters. Robert is the son of the late Luther and Anna Toland Wilson. Helen is a retired nurses aide.
