Snyders Celebrate 50th

Terry and Marti Snyder of Wheeling are celebrating their 50th anniversary. The couple was married on Sept. 29, 1973 at St Vincent’s Catholic Church in Elm Grove. Terry is the son of the late Franklin and Betty Snyder. Marti is the daughter of the late Melvin and Gwen Frohnapfel. Terry is a Marine Corp veteran and is retired from Verizon communications. He currently is working at Oglebay Park golf course. Marti is a retired dental assistant from Dr. Ricardo Zambito Dental Office. Veneida and Joe Baker of Wheeling celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple met during high school, were married at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, with Rev. John Paulin officiating, and spent their lives dedicated to each other and raising their family. Veneida Baker is the daughter of the late Harry A. Krider and the late Dorothy Krider. Jacksons Celebrate Silver

Judge and Mrs. David L. Jackson of Marshall County are celebrating their silver anniversary. The couple was married on Sept. 27, 1998, at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church on Kruger Street, Elm Grove. Officiating was Pastor R. Dale Poland. Judge Jackson is judge for the Second Family Court Circuit. Michele Jackson is employed with WesBanco. Daughter Jami (Travis) resides in Elm Grove. Son Michael (Rachel) resides in New Jersey. There are two grandchildren, Winifred and James. The Jacksons will be taking a trip to Newport, Rhode Island to celebrate.

Frank and Margie Roscoe Cooke of Avella, Pa., are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Sept. 8, 1973 at St. Lucy’s Parish in Yorkville, by the late Rev. Tulio Blasi. Margie retired after 27 years with Wheeling University (Wheeling Jesuit), and Frank retired from Motorist and Erie Insurances Companies, where he worked as a claims adjuster.
