OES Chapter to Hold Regular Meeting

WHEELING – Miriam Chapter No. 1, Order of the Eastern Star, will hold its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the Shrine Center, Monument Place, Elm Grove. School of Instruction will be held, and annual reports will be given. August birthdays will be celebrated. Members are asked to bring their choice of ramen noodles, fruit cups, pudding cups or Jello cups for the backpack project. Refreshments will be served by Mary Frohme following the meeting. Patty Vermillion, Worthy Matron, and Jim Shannon, Worthy Patron, will preside.

WHEELING – The speaker at the Tuesday, Aug. 11, meeting of the Ohio County Master Gardeners will be Takako Sachse. She will be demonstrating Ikebana, the classic Japanese art of flower arranging. The meeting will be held 6:30 p.m., at Vance Memorial Church, 905 National Road.
