Fundraiser Planned to Assist Rusty Beveridge’s Recovery

WHEELING – A grab-and-go spaghetti dinner fundraiser to support Rusty Beveridge's recovery will be held from noon to 5 p.m., Saturday at Wheeling Country Day School, located at 8 Park Road in Wheeling. Tickets are $12 each and include spaghetti, salad a breadstick and a drink. In addition to the meal, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase baked goods and participate in several fundraising activities, including a 50/50 raffle, tip boards for a rifle giveaway and a basket raffle. Pride Movement History Eyed for Next Program

WHEELING – The Ohio County Public Library's next Lunch With Books program will focus on “A History of the Pride Movement.” The program will take place at noon on Tuesday, June 30, at the library in downtown Wheeling. As a part of Pride on the Plaza, representatives of the Friendlier City Project will explore the history of the Pride Movement, including its most recognizable symbol, the Rainbow Flag. St. Matthew’s Church Hosts July 4 Concert

WHEELING – An Independence Day Commemorative Concert will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 4, at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 1410 Chapline St., Wheeling. The program will include patriotic hymns for congregational singing, festive brass music, organ music based on three patriotic hymns — including Charles Ives’s “Variations on ‘America’” — and fitting, uplifting readings. The concert is open to the community. Freewill offerings will be accepted.
