New Martinsville Duo Facing Child Neglect Charges

A man and woman are facing child neglect charges after being arrested earlier this month.

Joshua Burch, 30, of Middlebourne, and Natasha Tedrow, 24, of 28 Rose Street Lot 73N, New Martinsville, were arrested April 9 and charged with child neglect with chance of bodily harm.

A police report states a New Martinsville police officer contacted Probation Officer Brian Hostetler and reported he had received information that Burch and Tedrow were at the Plaza Inn making methamphetamine.

Authorities searched Burch and Tedrow’s room, where they discovered hypodermic needles and metal spoons. Burch allegedly admitted to shooting up Subutex, and police discovered green, leafy vegetation that was believed to be marijuana, according to the report.

Burch and Tedrow’s infant daughter was also in the motel room, and the report states the hypodermic needles were easily accessible by the infant. Needles were also stashed throughout the room, including in the dresser and on top of the microwave.

Bond for Tedrow and Burch was set at $10,000 each.

Starting at $2.99/week.
