Game, Set, Renovate: Upgrades Needed At Tennis Facilities

WHEELING — Officials at Ohio County Schools say they have a strong tennis program, but not such strong tennis courts and facilities to support it. The school district hopes to do something about that in the coming months, according to Assistant Superintendent Rick Jones. WHEELING — Two federal drug trafficking cases involving the Ohio Valley have resulted in prison sentences, including the final defendant in an operation that stretched from Cleveland to Wheeling. U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey sentenced Joshua Carney, 32, of Wheeling, to 60 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine base, fentanyl and heroin, along with distribution of 5 grams or more of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a protected location. FOLLANSBEE — A parade and 5K race are in the works as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Garibaldi Lodge.
