Charles Milton Woods Jr. “Pap Mick,” 86, of Second Street, Moundsville, WV, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014, at home. He was born September 26, 1927, in Greene County, Pa., son of the late Charles and Essie Parson Woods.
He was a Christian by faith. Retired from Bonnette & Son as a truck driver, Standard Sand & Gravel, Bills Quaker State and Mick’s Club Rusty.
Preceded in death by one son Clyde Berl Burge Jr. “Squeak,” four brothers Tom, Eugene, Lawrence and Lloyd Woods.
Pap loved to go to flea markets, read cowboy books, work puzzles, watch westerns and loved camping and fishing in the mountains.
Survived by his wife Ruth Ann (Trayon) Woods of 53 years; one son Charles “Chuck ice man” Woods; daughter Nancy (Larry) Coffield all of Moundsville, Judy (Gary) Hinerman of Glen Easton, Joyce (Scott) Hammaker of Pennsylvania, and Connie (Mike) Howard of Glen Easton; one sister Jane Crow (Butch Boggs); three brothers Ray Woods, Donnie Woods, all of Moundsville, Roy (Joyce) Woods of Cameron; sisters in law Pauline Woods and Babe Woods. Grandchildren Larry Jr. and Brad Coffield, Colleen Blake, Heather and gary Hinerman, Johnny and Jason Fickes, Leah Kestner, Tucker Brown, Jesse Woods, Amy Justus, Megan Elson, Heather and Hailey Howard, Chas Woods, Kylie Howard, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will received friends Monday, September 1, 2014, at Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1109 Second St., Moundsville, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where services will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Ron Williams officiating. Burial in Riverview Cemetery.
