PATRICK HOWARD HERSEY SR.
Patrick Howard Hersey Sr., 78, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Park Health Center, St. Clairsville, Ohio. He was born March 17, 1947, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late George W. Hersey and Gladys Bierkortte Hersey.
Patrick was the former President of the St. Clair Oil Company in St. Clairsville. He was a member of the Flushing Racing Pigeon’s Club. He enjoyed homing pigeons, playing the bass guitar and muscle cars.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Conway Hersey; second wife, Betty Lou Moore Hersey; and a brother, Bill Hersey.
He is survived by his children, Faith, Laura and Patrick Hersey Jr; one grandchild, Morrigan Hersey; two brothers, George (Carol) Hersey and Donald Hersey; sister, Mary Lou (Mark) Gordon; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville. Final arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family.
