Dorothy Brand Harr peacefully went home to Jesus on October 13, 2024, at the age of 85. She was born February 25th, 1939, in Wheeling, WV to the late Robert “Paul” and Virginia Brand. After graduating from Warwood High School in Wheeling, Dorothy continued her education earning a degree in Music from Ithaca college in New York. On May 17, 1963, she married William “Bill” Harr, Jr. Dorothy was an accomplished pianist and organist, sharing her gift by playing worship music at various churches over the years. Charles Victor Sovinsky, Sr., 94, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024 in his home. He was born November 24, 1929, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Frank J. Sovinsky and Elizabeth Scott Irwin. Charles was a retired truck driver for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, Martins Ferry, OH. He was a Korean War veteran for the U.S. Marine Corp, where he was a sharpshooter and Staff Sergeant. Beverly Ann Ernest, 85, of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 7:34 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2024 at home. Beverly was born February 2, 1939, in West Liberty, West Virginia. In October of 1996, she married George Washington Ernest. Mrs. Ernest worked as an assistant dietary manager at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
