Betty Rose Smith Hissam, 84, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at home. She was born October 26, 1939, daughter of the late Ernest and Rose Cefus Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry and Art Smith and Mike Long and three sisters-in-law, Pat Smith, Goldie Long and Susan Michael. John Ellsworth Wright III, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Liza’s Place. William M. Fugate (Bill), age 89, a resident of Passavant Community in Zelienople, PA, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024. Bill was born January 7, 1935, in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Robert McKinley and Marian (Artman) Fugate. He married Elaine S. Strock. Bill graduated from West Virgina Institute of Technology, Montgomery, WV in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. John Thomas Erazmus Jr., 71, of Moundsville, WV, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024. Born on June 20, 1953, in Glen Dale, WV, John dedicated his life to hard work, family, and community.
