Exploring Creative Pursuits
Elmhurst Residents Test Their Talents
When summer’s afternoon thermometer reaches the 80s and 90s, Elmhurst residents find creative activities to test their talents in the comfort of air conditioning.
Recently, the residents of the Wheeling senior living complex tested their skills at flowerpot decorating, painting beach scenes on canvas and crafting delicate door wreaths.
“Our residents love our front porch, outdoor patios and creek-side deck, but when the temperatures soar, we prefer to use our creativity where it is nice and cool. The residents amaze me with their artistic skills,” said Samantha Kestner, program director.
