BETHANY -- The Bethany College football team defeated Thiel (Pa.) College 52-3 in the 2026 Homecoming game Saturday on Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium. The Green-and-White took it to the Tomcats from the opening kick, outscoring Thiel 31-0 in the first half as the team now averages 39.3 points per game. Bethany's victory is the first Homecoming victory since 2021 and the first victory on Don Ault Field since 2022. WHEELING – The Mountain East Conference football schedule kicked off on Saturday on Bishop Schmitt Field at Panhandle Cleaning & Restoration and WesBanco Stadium as Wheeling University (2-2, 1-0) welcomed in Fairmont State for the conference opener, and it took the full 60 minutes to decide the winner. WEST LIBERTY — The West Liberty University football team opened Mountain East Conference play with a victory that will go down as one of the program's most memorable in years. The Hilltoppers rallied from a three-point deficit in the fourth quarter, forced overtime and then defeated defending MEC champion Frostburg State, 30-24, Saturday afternoon at West Family Stadium. The championships will be contested on Saturday at three different sites.
