WELLSBURG – John Marshall banged out 13 hits Thursday in posting a 13-2 win over Brooke in high school softball action.

The Monarchs received three hits each from Kaylee White and Nora Shock as Shock drove in three runs and White a pair. Carlie Keyser also drove in a trio of runs with a single and double. Paislee Babiczuk doubled in two runs while Aubrey Lilly knocked in another. Tori Finley also had an RBI.

Shelby Crowe earned the win inside the circle. She walked a pair before giving way to Ella Finley. Finley fanned one and walked one. They teamed on a 5-hitter.
