Ohio County Schools Updates Attendance Policy

WHEELING — Students on the path to missing more than 18 days of school during a 180-day school year could find themselves and their families in court for truancy. Ohio County Schools has updated its attendance policy to be in line with that established last year by the West Virginia Department of Education, explained Raquel McLeod, attendance director for Ohio County Schools, during Monday’s board of education meeting.
