Danny and Joyce Meeker of Yorkville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Aug. 22.

They were united in marriage on Aug. 22, 1964, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Tiltonsville, with the Rev. Superfisky officiating.

Joyce Meeker is the daughter of Mary Bayardi of Rayland and the late Joseph Bayardi. She is retired from Buckeye Local School District, where she was an educational aide.

Danny Meeker is the son of the late David and Mildred Meeker. He is retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., where he was a production supervisor. He is a Warren Township trustee.

They have four sons. The family includes Doug (Sarah) and Darin (June), both of Columbus; Derek of Los Angeles and Dustin of Baltimore, Md. They have four grandchildren.

The couple celebrated their anniversary with a family dinner.
