Couple Marks 50 Years
Virginia Mae and Thomas Robert “Bob” Armstrong Sr. of Wheeling celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Sept. 19.
They were united in marriage Sept. 19, 1964 at First Christian Church in Wheeling.
Virginia Mae Armstrong is the daughter of Virginia Stevenson and the late Richard Stevenson. She is retired from the Wheeling Housing Authority.
Thomas Armstrong Sr. is the son of the late William and Anna Belle Armstrong. He is retired from Wheeling Cab Co.
They have four sons, Bobby of Wheeling; Ricky, serving with the U.S. Navy in Naples, Italy; Donnie of Wheeling and Michael of Wheeling. They have 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
