Fosters Reach 50 Years
Donald and Pauline Foster of Wheeling will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Sept. 19.
They were united in marriage Sept. 19, 1964 in Wheeling.
Pauline Foster is the daughter of Daisy McGhee Pearson and the late Charles Green McGhee.
Donald Foster is the son of the late Eligha Hill and Nannie Mae “Sally” Foster Hill. He was employed as a railroad engineer for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. for 39 years.
They have six children. The family includes Donna Johnson and her husband, Gary, of Martins Ferry; Daleitha Foster, deceased; Donald Foster of Bridgeport; DeShell Penny and her husband, Ken, of Lorain, Ohio; DeVeda Walker and her husband, Toney, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Darnell Foster and his wife, Stephanie, of Wheeling. They have 11 grandchildren.
Their children will honor their parents with a small family gathering and a cross-country rail trip to the Grand Canyon.
