Francis Linden and Helen Joyce McBride of Bridgeport celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary Friday, Sept. 19.

They were united in marriage Sept. 19, 1959 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Wolfhurst, with the Rev. Patrick V. Mayer officiating. They renewed their vows Jan. 14, 1984 at Christian Faith Fellowship.

Helen Joyce McBride is the daughter of the late James Woodrow Bleen Sr. and Helen Bleen. She was the head billing clerk at Horne’s Department Store, Wheeling.

Francis Linden McBride is the son of the late Katherine Jane McBride. He is a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office in Wheeling.

They attend Faith Fellowship Church in Bellaire.

They have two children, Sherri Lynn McBride of Canonsburg, Pa., and Sean Michael McBride of Pittsburgh. They have two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters.

A celebration will be held in their honor.
