Manuel and Rosalia Viola celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Oct. 16. They were united in marriage on Oct. 16, 1954 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Wheeling, by Fr. Raymond Judge.

Rosalia Viola is the former Rosalia DiCesare, daughter of the late Mary and Pasquale DiCesare. She is a gradute of Triadelphia High School and Elliotts School of Business.

Manuel Viola is the son of the late Peter and Lucia Viola. He is a graduate of Triadelphia High School and has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work from West Virginia University. He was the executive director of Children and Family Service for 35 years.

The couple has two sons. The family includes P. Mark Viola and his wife, Susan, and Patrick E. Viola. They have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

They were honored by their children with a celebration dinner.
