50th Anniversary Marked
George and Nancy Stewart of McMechen will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Nov. 20.
They were married on Nov. 20, 1964 at the First Church of God in McMechen, where they are still active members.
George Stewart is retired from Olin Chemical and is the former fire chief for the city of McMechen.
Nancy Stewart is retired from Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, where they both have enjoyed volunteering for the past eight years.
They are the parents of two sons, David Hildebrand of McMechen and Pittsburgh, and John, deceased.
A family dinner will be held to celebrate the occasion.
