Blanche Resczynski of Benwood celebrated her 90th birthday on Saturday, Nov. 15.

She was born Nov. 15, 1924, daughter of the late John and Josephine Latka of Benwood. She was married to the late Chester Resczynski for 54 years.

She is a lifelong resident of Benwood and has served as a volunteer with the American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. She attended St. Ladislaus Catholic Church until its closing and now attends St. Alphonsus in Wheeling.

Resczynski has three children. The family includes Glenna Adams of Colerain, Larry (Christine) of Wheeling and Chet (Norma) of Virginia Beach, Va. She has four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Her birthday was celebrated with a surprise party on Nov. 15 at Undo’s Elm Grove, hosted by her children and attended by family and friends.
