Arrond and Margaret Scott of Shadyside will celebrate their 56th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 29.

They were united in marriage Nov. 29, 1958 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, by Msgr. Kloss.

Margie Scott is the daughter of the late Foster and Marge Johnson of Bridgeport. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked at Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Home in Shadyside for 12 1/2 years.

Arrond Scott is the son of the late Robert and Mary Scott of Bridgeport. He retired from Ormet Aluminum with 41 years of service.

They are active members of St. John’s Catholic Church, Bellaire. They also donate their time at the First United Methodist Church soup kitchen in Bellaire.

They are the parents of two children. The family includes Ernie and his wife, Kathy, of McMechen and Darlene West and her husband, Douglas, of Lancaster, Ohio. They have five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A family dinner will be held to celebrate the occasion.
