Walt and Janie Bober of St. Clairsville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Jan. 30.

They were united in marriage Jan. 30, 1965 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling.

Janie Bober is the daughter of the late Herb and Dolores Christ. She is retired from the office of Dr. Don Lough.

Walt Bober is the son of the late Walter and Amelia Bober. He is retired from Bell Atlantic and FedEx.

They are the parents of three children. The family includes Michael and his wife, Tara, of Hilliard, Ohio; Patrick and his wife, Tracie, of Westerville, Ohio, and Jennifer and her husband, Chad, of Roswell, Ga. They have five grandsons.

The family celebrated with a surprise weekend in the Smokey Mountains.
