Bill and Sherry Gorby of Moundsville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Feb. 20.

They were united in marriage Feb. 20, 1965 at First Christian Church in Cameron with Karen Patrick Peterson and David Barbour as attendants and the Rev. Mosteller officiating.

Sherry Gorby is the daughter of the late William Wilson Wright and Doris Jean Ballauri. She was a former employee of the late Dr. Alfred J. Vincent.

Bill Gorby is the son of Edward F. and Mildred Evelyn Anderson of Moundsville. He was a former employee of Fostoria Glass Co. and retired from BB&T Bank in Moundsville.

They are the parents of a son, Dr. William Hal Gorby of Morgantown.

A celebratory dinner will take place later in the year.
