Leroy and Nila Meadows of Moundsville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, April 17.

They were united in marriage on April 17, 1965 at the First Christian Church in Moundsville, with the Rev. Laney officiating.

Nila Meadows is the daughter of the late Kenneth and Gladys Truex of Moundsville.

Leroy Meadows is the son of the late Erva and Thelma Meadows of Moundsville. He is retired from the AEP Kammer Plant, where he worked for 43 years in various capacities.

They are the parents of three children. The family includes Dana Meadows (James) Druien of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Dawn Meadows of Phoenix, Ariz; and Monty (Nicole) Meadows of Las Vegas, Nev. They have two grandsons.

They celebrated their 50th anniversary quietly with an intimate dinner and evening out.
