Timothy B. Birch and Jan Ellen Birch of Wheeling will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary today, Aug. 9.

They were married on Aug. 9, 1980, at the First United Presbyterian Church of Wheeling by the groom’s uncle, Robert T. Baugh.

Jan Birch is the former Jan Ellen Burris, daughter of the late Jesse E. and Ellen L. (Wiley) Burris of Wheeling. She is retired from Ohio County Schools as transportation secretary.

Timothy Birch is the son of the Rev. Dr. David P. and Janet A. (Baugh) Birch of Lititz, Pa., formerly of Wheeling. He is employed as supervisor of operations for the city of Wheeling.

They have one son, Jason B. Birch, who married Jessica L. Broski seven years ago also on Aug. 9.

Three grandsons complete the family.
