Bob and Mary Kay Haas of Wellsburg celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Aug. 13.

They were united in marriage on Aug. 13, 1955, by the Rev. Conrad Steinbrenner at Wellsburg Presbyterian Church.

Mary Kay Haas is a 1953 graduate of Wellsburg High School and is retired from Advance Financial Savings Bank.

Bob Haas is a 1953 graduate of Wellsburg High School. He was employed by Koppers, Hudson Pulp and Paper, and Weirton Steel, and he retired from Eagle Manufacturing of Wellsburg.

Within 44 days, both Bob and Mary Kay Haas celebrated their 80th birthdays and their anniversary.

They are the parents of Frank Haas, Lori (Ed) Johnson and Marla (Ray) Hanlon, all of Wellsburg. They have seven grandchildren.

They marked the occasion with a family celebration at Oglebay’s Wilson Lodge.
