Paul “Benny” and Karen Hupp of Sardis will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 6.

They were united in marriage in Tampa, Fla., on Sept. 6, 1965.

Karen Hupp is a homemaker and the daughter of the late Chester and the late Katherine Reese of Sardis.

Benny Hupp is the son of Carl Hupp and the late Irene Hupp of New Matamoras. He is a veteran and is retired from Ormet after working there for 36 years.

They have two children: Julie Ellenwood (Jim Wojcik) of Vincent, Ohio, and Joseph (Susan) of Lowell, Ohio. They have five grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to a celebratory reception for the couple, given by their children, from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church, Trail Run, located on Joe Frobish Road, 34467 Ohio 800, Sardis.
