Dennis and Donna Kennedy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Oct. 2. They were united in marriage on Oct. 2, 1965, at the West Methodist Church in Bridgeport, with the late Rev. Gordon Farmer officiating.

Donna Kennedy is the daughter of the late Donald and Ann Hoge of Bridgeport. She is a retired elementary school teacher with 37 years of teaching experience in the Bridgeport school district.

Dennis Kennedy is the son of the late Elza and Madge Kennedy of Powhatan Point. He is a retired elementary school teacher with 29 years of teaching experience in the Bridgeport school district.

They are the parents of one son, Donald, who is married to Teresa and lives in Ashland, Ohio. They have one granddaughter.

The couple will celebrate this occasion at a luncheon at Wilson Lodge, Oglebay Park, with family and friends, hosted by their son and his wife.
