Martins Mark Golden
George and Ruth Martin of Sardis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Oct. 2.
They were united on Oct. 2, 1965, in Bellaire.
George Martin is the son of the late Robert Martin and the late Betty Bergund. He is a driver for Rothenbuhler Trucking.
Ruth Martin is the daughter of the late Clarence Getrost and the late Mary Barth Carter. She is a homemaker.
The couple has three children. The family includes Mary Carroll of Greenwich, Ohio; Bobby of Hannibal; and Melissa Martin of Greensburg, Pa.
They have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
They plan to celebrate the occasion with their family.
