Denhams Mark 70 Years
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Denham of Wheeling celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
They were married on Oct. 27, 1945, in Stone Presbyterian Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. Martin L. Gerhardt officiating.
Clifford Denham is the son of Doretta and Wilber Denham. He is retired as the transportation director of Ohio County Schools after 37 years. He was a member of the Triadelphia Odd Fellows Lodge and served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Mary Denham is the daughter of the late Roy and Clara Rohrl Dean. She was a homemaker and volunteered for 17 years at Wheeling Hospital. She also was involved in many other organizations throughout Wheeling.
They are the parents of four children: Dan, Anita Pulay (deceased), Susan (Steve) Wright and Bruce (Tina). Nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren complete the family.
A family dinner this weekend will commemorate the occasion.
