Shackelfords Mark 66th
Betty and Howard Shackelford of Wheeling celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on Christmas Day.
They were united in marriage on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1949, in Wellsburg.
Betty Shackelford is the daughter of Virginia and Russell Starkey. She attended West Liberty State College and worked as a secretary at Wheeling College.
Howard Shackelford is the son of Margaret and Earl Shackelford. He is a graduate of ICS College. A builder and inventor, he is president and chief executive officer of S&S Surgical Products.
They are the parents of four children, Dr. Howard Shackelford, Terry Lynn George, Deborah Sgroi and Shawna Winkler. They have 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
