Arlene B. and Robert Zahniser Sr. of Steubenville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, March 1.

They were united in marriage on March 1, 1956, in Portland, Maine.

Bob Zahniser is the son of the late Sarah Monroe and the late William and Pauline DeWalt. He is a U.S. Navy veteran and is retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.

Arlene Zahniser is the daughter of the late Rudolph and Mona LeConte. She is retired from Edison Local School District as a teacher’s aide for adult basic education.

They are the parents of three children: Debbie (Russell) Daugherty of Toronto and the late Robert Jr. and the late Timothy.

They have four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A family dinner will be celebrated in their honor.
