DiLorenzos Mark 45th
Mr. Ron and Dr. Roberta DiLorenzo will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary on May 15.
They were united in marriage by the Rev. James Murphy at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Weirton on May 15, 1971.
Roberta DiLorenzo was raised by her maternal grandparents, the late Robert and Pauline Bish. She began her educational career in Ohio County Schools in 1971 but left in 1997 for Washington School District, Washington Pa., where she remains as superintendent.
Ron DiLorenzo is the son of the late Paul DiLorenzo and his wife, Armeda, who still resides in Weirton and will celebrate her 95th birthday in August. He taught in Ohio County Schools as a music teacher, counselor and dean of students from 1970 until his retirement in 2010. He also performed in local bands, especially The Shop Band.
The couple has four children: Cara (Terry) Netherton of Richmond, Ky.; Matthew (Amy) of Lexington, Ky.; Adria DiLorenzo (Ron Scott) of Wheeling and Nathan DiLorenzo of Detroit, Mich. They have eight grandchildren.
They plan to celebrate their union with family and friends in June.
