Ralph and Mary Jo Koontz of New Martinsville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary June 14.

They were united in marriage June 14, 1956 in the bride’s home at Dale, W.Va., by the late Willard E. Fortney of Clarksburg.

Mary Jo Koontz is the daughter of the late Francis and Alice Lemasters of Dale. She retired from the Post Office after 20 years.

Ralph Koontz is the son of the late Andrew and Mabel Koontz of New Martinsville. He retired from Union Carbide after 32 years.

The family includes Dale and his wife, Malyndia, and Gary and his wife, Tracy. They have seven grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and two great-grandsons.

An open house reception will be held in their honor at Quinets Court Restaurant in New Martinsville from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, June 11. All family and friends are invited to the Magnolia Room to share memories with them. They will accept cards and pictures, but request no gifts.
