Couple Marks 60 Years
Clarence E. and Deanna K. Nelson Parsons of Sherrard will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday. They were united in marriage on June 30, 1956, at Triadelphia United Methodist Church, with the late Rev. Constantine Metalloids officiating. They renewed their vows on their 25th wedding anniversary in 1981. Deanna Parsons is the daughter of the late Jepson and Dora White Nelson of Triadelphia. She is a homemaker. Clarence Parsons is the son of the late Clell and Mildred Dodd Parsons of Marshall County. He is retired from Griffith Brothers Construction Co. and is a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 132 of West Virginia. They are active members of Triadelphia United Methodist Church. They have four children: Crystal (David) McDowell of South Carolina; Pamela (Mike) Swickard of Toronto, Ohio; Chip (Tanna) of Toledo, Ohio; and Sheridan of Wheeling. Five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren complete the family.
