Jeff and Becky Dougherty of Wheeling celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 16.

They were united in marriage on July 16, 1966, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Martins Ferry.

Jeff Dougherty is the son of the late Ray and Naomi Dougherty and is retired from Straub Honda, where he was the parts manager.

Becky Dougherty is the daughter of the late Richard and Isabel Shober and is a retired registered nurse from Wheeling Hospital, where she continues to work one day a week in the operating room.

The Doughertys are the parents of three children. The family includes Lori Dougherty of Wheeling, Heidi (Dan) Nickischer of Douglassville, Pa., and Rick (Michelle) Dougherty of Washington, Pa. They also have two grandchildren.
