Donohews Mark Golden
                                    William McKinley “Bill” and Jeanette Elaine Donohew of Wheeling celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 16.
They were united in marriage on Aug. 16, 1966, at the Methodist church in Pearisburg, Va. After their elopement, they were remarried at St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Albans, W.Va., on Oct. 22, 1966, with family in attendance.
Jeanette Donohew is the daughter of the late Orville “Sandy” and Jean Hill of St. Albans. She worked as a teacher and school administrator at the West Virginia Penitentiary and Northern Correctional Facility for the West Virginia Department of Education for 26 years.
Bill Donohew is the son of the late William “Red” and Rose Donohew of Charleston, W.Va. He has worked for 43 years as a teacher and coach in both Ohio and Brooke counties.
They are the parents of a son, Scott (Laura), and a daugher, Kelli Kozusnik (Mark), both of Wheeling. They have three grandchildren.
The couple was honored with a family dinner and will take an anniversary trip to Pearisburg, Va., and then on to Atlantic Beach, N.C.
